[News] IU chose “Immortal Music Classics 2” instead of “I am a Singer”, Why?

“Diva Girl” IU decided to appear on KBS 2TV new entertainment program “Immortal Music Classics 2”.

According to director Gwon Jae Young of “Immortal Music Classics”, not only IU but Chang Min from 2AM, Yo Seob from BEAST, Hyo Rin from SISTAR, Ye Sung from Super Junior and Min from Miss A.

[NEWS] ‘Heroes’ IU comes in first place in popularity vote among both PDs and teenagers

IU won first place in a popularity vote held on SBS programme ‘Heroes’ which was broadcasted on April 24th.

On this week’s episode of “Section TV Entertainment“, actor Song Joong Ki and singer IU enjoyed a sweet date together in front of the cameras for an adorable interview with the show.

IU, Son Yeon Jae, Nam Kyu Ri has drawn attention as they wore the same cloth.

[NEWS] Loen Entertainment denies reports claiming IU made $6 million USD in digital sales

On April 6th, reports revealed that IU had brought in $6 million USD in digital sales revenue for just the first quarter of 2011 alone, the highest amongst other Korean singers.

Lotte Duty free revealed 2PM to be their other CF models. Lotte Duty free is using Hallyu Stars to attract customers from Japan and China, and aside from Choi Jiwoo, Song Seunghun, Bi and JYJ, they have signed contracts with new Hallyu stars such as Hyun Bin, Kim Hyunjoong and 2PM.

Lotte Duty Free is also active in helping the stars meet with their fans. It helped JYJ organize a fanmeeting this year. It is also said that Lotte is in the middle of preparation for 2PM performance and talk show for fans as well.

With both her mini-album ‘REAL’ and repackaged album ‘REAL+’ becoming big hits in 2011, IU has achieved almost 6million USD in album sales.

[NEWS] IU clears up rumors that she's 'arrogant and rude'

IU recently clarified some rumors surrounding herself.

The idol appeared on SBS’s “Night After Night” on April 4th, and explained the rumor that she was ‘arrogant even at a young age’.

UNIONBAY spokesmodels IU and Seo In Kook recently posed for the brand’s summer catalogue.

IU’s airport fashion has become all the buzz.

IU left from Incheon airport on the 4th and headed to London to participate in a photoshoot for a fashion magazine.

The audio of 2PM’s upcoming Japanese debut single “Take Off” has been released!

On April 4th, singer IU guested on the ‘Special Entertainment’ segment of SBS’s “Good Morning“, and talked about her influences in deciding a career in music.

On April 1st, singer IU kept her promise to gagman Noh Hong Chul by making a surprise guest appearance on his MBC FM4U radio show, “Noh Hong Chul’s Close Friend“.

On the afternoon of April 4th, singer IU headed off to London to participate in an overseas photoshoot.

Reportedly, she had some free time left over after SBS’s “Heroes” came to an end last month, which encouraged her agency to go ahead and confirm for the overseas project. During her stay, she’ll be visiting several different locations to ensure a charming final project.

On April 3rd, 2PM held their second fan meeting with the support of 2,000 fans at the Kwangwoon University auditorium.

IU confessed that she thought about getting rhinoplasty in the past.

A preview from the upcoming episode of SBS’s “Night By Night” played a clip of IU’s confession as she revealed she even visited a cosmetic surgeon’s office. “My company didn’t want me to get surgery,” she said. “But I wanted to get plastic surgery so I begged them.”

Is 2PM gearing for a comeback? On the 3rd of April, the group successfully held their fan meeting at Kwang Woon University. During the fan meeting, they announced the end of their individual schedules.

During her training, she spent many days by herself. Instead of receiving formal lessons, she spent countless hours in her room singing and playing the guitar. She didn’t receive guitar lessons. On March 1st, IU fans got the shock of their lives after they saw that IU’s picture was swapped for Shin Bong Sun’s on one of the IU fansites.

It was reported that a fan played the joke because IU and Shin Bong Sun are frequently compared to one another.
